Determine the right record type

In order to choose the right type for your record, it is important to consider the nature of the building or site you wish to monitor. There are three types of records in EnergieID: Home, Business, and Plant. Each type supports different measurement data and is suitable for specific situations.

Home

Suitable for residential homes and apartments. In a Home record, you can monitor the following data: energy (including solar panels), water, waste, mobility, and comfort.

Business

Suitable for commercial buildings such as offices, agencies, schools, sports facilities, common areas of apartment buildings, etc. In a Business record, you can monitor the following data: energy (including solar panels), water, waste, mobility, and comfort.

Plant

Suitable for monitoring energy production and other relevant data for green production sites such as wind farms, solar parks, etc. In a Plant record, you can monitor a limited set of data, including electricity production, thermal heat production, and off-take and injection to the grid.

You do not need an additional record to monitor the solar panels on your home or commercial building. Just use your Home or Business record for this.
